Jean E. Marre graduated with a degree in Multimedia
(webdesign, cd-rom development,...) and Social-Cultural work. He lives
in Ghent (Belgium), where he owns five cameras, and is contemplating a
sixth.
He considers himself to be neither a professional nor
an artist, rather that he just uses photography to express his feelings.
He thinks details are important, but says the themes in his art tend to
just happen, and he doesn’t question it. His favorite books include
photography books, Choke by Chuck Palahnuik, Wall and Piece
by Banksy, Les particules élémentaires by Michel
Houellebecq, and dictionaries.
He says that his biggest influence is his girlfriend.
He thinks it’s stupid to ask him to compare his
artwork to food, and he wishes he’d done
the paintings by Banksy on the Palestinian Wall.
